Altervim and 7-Eleven Bring Clean Energy Closer to You
“Just stopping by for a snack can help save the planet!” Altervim has partnered with 7-Eleven to bring clean energy to every neighborhood corner.
Who would have thought that grabbing steamed buns in the morning or ordering a coffee before work could become one of the “small powers” that truly help fight climate change? Behind the cool air inside the store, sunlight is at work. Today, 7-Eleven is transforming the energy it uses each day into clean, planet-friendly power. The driving force behind this transformation is Altervim, a clean energy company that believes “clean energy should be accessible, and it should be a normal part of everyday life.”
Under the concept of “Green Convenience”, Altervim and CP All have installed solar rooftop systems on 535 7-Eleven branches nationwide—turning familiar storefronts into miniature power plants that generate their own electricity from sunlight.
“This is about bringing clean energy closer to people’s lives-making energy use something everyone can take part in”
said Mr. Somboon Lertsuwannaroj, Chief Executive Officer of Altervim.
Altervim: Making Clean Energy Possible
From large-scale industrial energy projects to residential solar systems—and now, convenience stores that everyone knows—Altervim is building a new energy infrastructure for Thailand. The company’s mission is to transform clean energy from something distant into something within reach, practical, and integrated into daily life.
Small contributions from every street corner can combine into a major step forward for the planet. Imagine if thousands of 7-Eleven stores used clean energy—that would mean a massive reduction in fossil fuel consumption. And what if shops, businesses, and households joined in? Entire cities could become clean energy cities.
This project is about more than solar panels. It’s about “planting awareness” in Thai society that clean energy is no longer a far-off concept. Now, just by shopping at 7-Eleven, anyone can become “a partner in creating change for the planet.”
And for those who want to start that change at home-whether in a detached house, townhouse, or condominium-Altervim offers consultation, design, and installation of sustainable, cost-effective clean energy systems.
Beyond rooftop solar, Altervim is also rolling out Altervim Super Charge - high-speed DC chargers for electric vehicles-at 7-Eleven locations nationwide. This initiative supports the shift to electric mobility and helps build a more complete, nationwide clean energy ecosystem.
