Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) and Altervim Co., Ltd. co-hosted the CP Group Energy Leaders 2026 Workshop on 6 February 2026 at True Digital Park, bringing together business leaders and industry experts to strengthen cross-group collaboration, explore emerging energy technologies, and develop initiatives supporting the Group's carbon neutrality ambitions.

The workshop brought together executives from across the CP Group ecosystem, including True Corporation, CPF Group, CP ALL, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, and Altervim, alongside industry experts from Google, CNNC China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., and Chulalongkorn University.

The event provided a platform for exchanging insights, sharing expertise, and exploring opportunities to address evolving energy challenges through collaboration across business sectors.

Strengthening Collaboration to Accelerate the Energy Transition

As global energy systems evolve, businesses face growing challenges associated with rising electricity demand, digital transformation, and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Addressing these challenges requires more than adopting individual technologies. It calls for coordinated strategies, knowledge sharing, and closer collaboration across industries and business operations.

The CP Group Energy Leaders 2026 Workshop was designed to encourage such collaboration by bringing together leaders from different business units to exchange perspectives and explore practical energy initiatives.

The workshop also reinforced CP Group's broader sustainability direction, including its targets to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Achieving these ambitions requires continuous improvements in energy efficiency, greater adoption of clean energy, and the integration of innovative technologies across operations and supply chains.

Exploring Future Energy Technologies: Data Centers and SMRs

A key focus of the workshop was the evolving energy infrastructure required to support data centers, particularly as artificial intelligence and cloud computing drive demand for reliable, scalable electricity supplies.

As digital infrastructure continues to expand, energy availability, system reliability, efficiency, and sustainability are becoming increasingly important considerations for long-term business development.

The workshop also explored Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology, an emerging nuclear energy approach attracting international interest for its potential to provide low-carbon electricity and support future energy security.

While SMRs offer potential opportunities, their deployment requires careful consideration of regulatory frameworks, safety standards, economic feasibility, and public acceptance.

Through knowledge exchange with experts from Google, CNNC China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., and Chulalongkorn University, participants gained broader perspectives on the technologies and infrastructure that could shape future energy systems.

These discussions provided an opportunity to explore how emerging technologies may inform long-term energy strategies across the CP Group ecosystem.

Altervim: Turning Energy Strategy into Action

As CP Group's energy company, Altervim plays an important role in supporting the Group's energy transition by connecting strategic sustainability ambitions with practical energy solutions and implementation.

By co-hosting the CP Group Energy Leaders 2026 Workshop, Altervim helped bring together business leaders and technical experts to exchange knowledge, identify opportunities for collaboration, and explore approaches to more efficient and sustainable energy management.

The workshop reflects Altervim's commitment to supporting the development of energy solutions that address business requirements while contributing to long-term environmental goals.

Beyond individual projects, the energy transition requires a collaborative ecosystem in which businesses, technology providers, and knowledge institutions work together to translate shared ambitions into practical action.

The CP Group Energy Leaders 2026 Workshop marks another step toward stronger collaboration across the Group, reinforcing the importance of collective knowledge, innovation, and coordinated implementation in advancing a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

The energy transition will not be driven by one company alone,
but by ecosystems that collaborate, learn, and act together.
