Altervim Co., Ltd. has joined the CONNEXT ED Foundation as a partner, bringing its clean energy expertise to support Thai education through 10 kW rooftop solar systems at two schools, with a combined installed capacity of 20 kW. The initiative connects access to clean energy with opportunities for students to learn about energy and sustainability in their everyday surroundings.
The partnership marks the beginning of Altervim’s contribution to the CONNEXT ED network, which brings together 64 private-sector organizations working alongside the public and civil society sectors to improve educational opportunities across Thailand. Through this collaboration, Altervim aims to extend the value of clean energy to schools, students, and communities.
On 28 September 2026, Mr. Kazuhiro Watanabe, Chief Operating Officer of Altervim, represented the company at the CONNEXT ED Conference 2026. The event brought together leaders and partner organizations to exchange perspectives on advancing Thai education, including teacher development, the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence, and learning environments that prepare students for a changing world.
The conference also highlighted the Foundation’s approach to student-centered learning, supported by school management improvements and tools for assessing learning outcomes. These include the CONNEXT ED Standardized Assessment Program (CSAP), which assesses analytical thinking and digital literacy to help identify students’ strengths and areas where further support is needed.

Rooftop solar systems can serve as practical learning resources, helping students connect classroom knowledge about sunlight, electricity, and responsible energy use with a working example within their own school. They also offer opportunities for teachers to incorporate energy and environmental topics into learning activities.
