Altervim Powers Education with 40 kW Solar Rooftop Project Through Switch ON Season 3
Altervim Co., Ltd. continues its commitment to sustainability through “Altervim Switch ON Season 3,” delivering solar rooftop systems with a combined capacity of 40 kW to schools in the Khao Thong community of Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The initiative aims to reduce electricity expenses while creating practical clean energy learning opportunities for students and local communities. Over the systems' lifetime, the project is expected to deliver up to THB 5 million in electricity savings and avoid approximately 680 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions.

On 20 February 2026, Altervim, led by Mr. Somboon Lertsuwannaroj, Chief Executive Officer, joined the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University and industry partners for the handover ceremony of Altervim Switch ON Season 3, held at Khaothong Pittayakom School in Nakhon Sawan Province as part of the school's Grand Open House 2026.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Weera Khangkasikan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, and attended by school administrators, Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, as well as teachers, students, and educational personnel.

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between the private sector, educational institutions, and other stakeholders in expanding access to clean energy and promoting sustainable learning.Turning Solar Energy into Real-World Learning Opportunities

Turning Solar Energy into Real-World Learning Opportunities
Altervim Switch ON Season 3 goes beyond installing solar panels. The initiative aims to integrate clean energy technology into the school environment, providing students with opportunities to explore how sunlight is converted into electricity, understand energy efficiency, and recognize the importance of environmental responsibility.
The project delivered solar rooftop systems with a combined installed capacity of 40 kW and an estimated project value of THB 1 million.
According to the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, the systems are expected to generate approximately 4,800 kWh of electricity per month, helping reduce electricity expenses by an estimated THB 20,064 per month.

Over the project's lifetime, the installation is projected to deliver total electricity savings of up to approximately THB 5 million while avoiding around 680 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions, an impact estimated by the project to be comparable to planting approximately 1,300 trees.
Beyond these environmental and economic benefits, the solar installations have the potential to serve as practical renewable energy learning resources for students, teachers, nearby schools, and local communities.
By connecting classroom knowledge with a functioning solar energy system, the initiative encourages young people to develop a deeper understanding of renewable energy technologies and sustainable resource management.
Connecting Industry Expertise with Educational Development
The project reflects collaboration between Altervim, the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, and industry partners that contributed technical expertise, technology, and equipment to support the installation.
This collaboration demonstrates how engineering knowledge and private-sector capabilities can be applied to address community needs while creating long-term educational and environmental value.
Altervim Switch ON is part of the company's ongoing volunteer initiatives under CP Group's community-focused activities and its Three Benefits Principle, which emphasizes benefits to the country, the people, and the company.
Through this approach, Altervim seeks to apply its clean energy expertise in ways that create meaningful contributions to society while supporting sustainable development.

From Local Communities to Thailand's Energy Future
At Altervim, sustainability is not simply a statement of ambition. It is a commitment demonstrated through continuous action.
Altervim Switch ON Season 3 reflects the company's belief that meaningful progress in the energy transition can begin at the community level, where practical solutions directly benefit schools, students, and local residents.
By bringing solar energy into educational environments, the initiative helps schools reduce operating costs while creating opportunities for students to experience clean energy technologies firsthand.
The project also supports a broader understanding of energy sustainability among the next generation, encouraging young people to recognize their role in shaping a cleaner and more responsible future.

Clean energy does more than power buildings and classrooms.
It can also inspire learning, create opportunities, and empower the next generation.
