Altervim receives green loan support from Maybank
Altervim, a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group), has received green financing support from Maybank Malaysia to develop solar projects for the Lotus's Malaysia initiative.
Maybank has signed to provide green financing support to Altervim Group, a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group), to invest in the installation of solar power systems for Lotus’s Stores under the Charoen Pokphand Group in Malaysia.
This reinforces the bank's commitment to being a partner that supports customers in transitioning to environmentally and socially responsible businesses to create sustainability.
In this event, Mr. Goh Sin Tat, Managing Director and Group Head of Corporate Banking at Maybank Malaysia, represented the bank in signing the loan agreement alongside Mr.Borvorn Pienpongpanich, Chief Financial Officer of Altervim Co., Ltd., at Maybank's headquarters on June 23, 2025.
The solar power project for Lotus’s, which has received green financing, encompasses the installation of rooftop solar systems for 28 Lotus’s branches across Malaysia. The total installed capacity is 20 megawatts, capable of producing 24,650,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually, and it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 433,958 tons over the project's lifespan.
